EXPLANATION: The Village continues to work with the State of Florida’s SHIP Program to provide homeowners with grants to assist with repairs and improvement projects. The homeowners of 12094 Old Country Road S have applied for a SHIP grant to assist with needed repairs to their home. The project details are provided below:
The project includes the following improvements:
• Installation of impact windows and doors
• Installation of a water heater
• Garage door replacement
• Front door replacement
• Installation of a HVAC system
Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, contracts exceeding $50,000 require Council approval. Staff requests authorization to award a contract to CJ Contracting, LLC for rehabilitation work at 12094 Old Country Road S of $53,000.00.
