EXPLANATION: Annually the Village Council recognizes Public Safety personnel that have been nominated as Wellington’s Top Cop and Top Firefighter.
For 2023, nominations from PBSO included Detective Tim Barbusio and Deputy Jeff Taschner. Nominations from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Battalion 2 included Captain Cecilia Eaton and Lieutenant Jason Haythorn.
These nominations were presented to the Public Safety Committee for consideration at the June 14th regular meeting, at which time the Committee made their recommendations. The Committee recommended Detective Tim Barbusioas Wellington’s Top Cop for 2023 and Captain Cecilia Eatonas Wellington’s Top Firefighter for 2023. Captain Nichole Addazio and District Chief Amanda Vomero are in attendance to present this year’s awards.
