ITEM: WELLINGTON ROTARY CLUB RUCK MARCH EVENT PRESENTATION

EXPLANATION: The Wellington Rotary Club, in co-sponsorship with the Village, will hold a Ruck March at Village Park on Sunday, November 10th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event, intended for all fitness levels, features a family-friendly 2K and 5K “Ruck March” through Village Park and encourages participants to carry a backpack filled with non-perishable food items (8 to 15 lbs.) to donate to Wellington’s Holiday Food Drive. The race will begin in “waves” and will be timed by Accuchip Timing. All donated food will be collected for the Wellington Family Holiday Food Drive and distributed to families in need the week before Thanksgiving.
George Kinoshita, a representative from the Wellington Rotary Club, is in attendance to talk about the event and respond to questions. An event flyer is also attached.
