ITEM:                     AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A GOVMVMT CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF REFUSE CARTS

 

REQUEST:                     Authorization to utilize a GovMVMT contract with Rehrig Pacific Company, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of refuse carts, in the amount of approximately $250,000 annually.

EXPLANATION:                     The Public Works Department purchases wheeled trash containers for residential solid waste needs.  The Village currently uses Rehrig Pacific Company to provide these containers.

 

The City of Houston, acting as the lead agency for GovMVMT Cooperative awarded contract #2025-0852 to Rehrig Pacific Company for the purchase and delivery of refuse carts.  The City of Houston contract is effective from December 23, 2025 through December 22, 2030 with the option to renew for a period of five (5) additional one (1) year renewals.

 

In order to ensure the best pricing, staff compared a similar contract and found the City of Houston contract provides the best overall value to the Village. 

 

Staff requests authorization to utilize a GovMVMT contract #2025-0852, as a basis for pricing with Rehrig Pacific Company for the purchase and delivery of refuse carts, in the amount of approximately $250,000 annually.
