EXPLANATION:                     Wellington’s Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) is permitted to treat up to 6.5 million gallons of wastewater each day.  Waste activated sludge is a residual substance from the treatment process that is stabilized to produce approximately 825 wet tons of Class AA Bio-Solids per year.  The processed biosolids must be hauled from the WRF to an approved disposal site.

Our current agreement with Revinu, Inc. will expire June 12, 2025 with no remaining renewal options.

On March 19, 2025 the City of Hollywood awarded contract IFB-252-285-JJ to Revinu, Inc. with a contract price of $57.70 per wet ton, which is a price increase of $11.30 per ton.  The anticipated fiscal impact of the new price is an increase of $4,300 for remainder of FY2025 and approximately $9,300 for FY2026.
