EXPLANATION: Currently, the Land Development Regulations limit the maximum hedge height throughout the Village to six feet. At the October 15, 2014 Architectural Review Board (ARB) meeting, the Board recommended to increase allowed hedge heights for properties of ¼ acre or more. The ARB recommended establishing maximum hedge heights based on the size of the property. The ARB also recommended higher maximum hedge heights along the major thoroughfares for privacy and to mitigate disturbances.
 
On January 7, 2015, the Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board (PZAB) recommended approval of the proposed ZTA with changes to the maximum hedge height by property size. The recommended change addresses properties in neighborhoods and provides the same height limitation.
