ITEM: PRESENTATION OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, PALM BEACH COUNTY, AND MUNICIPALITIES OF PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR COORDINATED PLANNING

EXPLANATION: Resolution No. 2000-100 which approved the Interlocal Agreement with Palm Beach County Municipalities and the PBC School District to regulate school concurrency has expired. As a result of the Community Planning Act, school concurrency became optional, which was around the same time that the ILA which was executed in 2000 expired. The attached staff report provides both the history of school concurrency as well as information related to the process undertaken to draft a new Interlocal Agreement Between the School Board of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County, and Municipalities of Palm Beach County for Coordinated Planning. Village staff is in attendance to respond to questions. There is no action required by the Committee related to this item. This item is scheduled to be presented to the Village Council at the December 13, 2016 regular Council meeting.
