EXPLANATION: The Parks and Recreation Department uses a variety of pool chemicals at the aquatics complex, including Pulsar Brand Briquettes. The Pulsar Brand Briquettes are required in order for the current pool chlorination system to operate within the parameters necessary to meet National Sanitary Foundation and American National Standards Institute requirements.

The City of Sunrise, acting as the lead agency for the Southeast Florida Co-Op, awarded contract #17-06-12-HR to multiple vendors effective March 27, 2017 through March 26, 2019, including CES for the purchase and delivery of Pulsar Brand Briquettes in the amount of $107.50 per pail.
