REQUEST: Recognition of District Chief Michael Arena for his many years of service with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the Citizens of Wellington.

EXPLANATION: District Chief Michael Arena is a 27 year resident of the Village of Wellington, having served the last 7 years as District Chief of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue services over Battalion 2 out of the Royal Palm Beach station, managing fire rescue services for Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee and the Acreage.
Chief Arena will be retiring on June 30, 2017 after a long and distinguished 31 year career with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Chief Arena has served the residents of Wellington admirably and with professionalism and dedication. His leadership and commitment to Wellington has been an asset and it has been a privilege to have him as part of the Wellington team during the last seven years of his long and distinguished career.
The Village of Wellington along with the Village Council, Staff and its residents extend its thanks and best wishes to Chief Arena in his retirement from service.
