EXPLANATION: This project is located at 12198 Forest Hill Boulevard and will replace existing wood trellis members of the Patriot Memorial with new aluminum trellis members. The engineer’s estimated cost of construction for this project is $100,726.00. The life expectancy for the aluminum structural members is approximately fifty (50) years as opposed to the eight (8) to ten (10) year life expectancy for the existing wood. The estimated cost to replace the wood trellis members with the existing type material is approximately $67,000.00.
On August 28, 2017, Wellington released ITB #016-17/AA on Demandstar. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington’s website. On September 21, 2017, one (1) proposal was received.
