EXPLANATION: On March 28, 2017, the Village Council approved an amendment to the Wellington Green Master Plan to allow a conditional use hotel in MUPD B. A condition of the development order requires the developer to acquire the adjacent Park-n-Ride lot prior to issuance of the land development permit or building permit for the hotel. The developer has worked with Wellington and Palm Beach County to amend the Interlocal Agreement between the parties to allow for the purchase of the lot. Because the lot was constructed using grant funds from FDOT, Wellington must reimburse FDOT for the contributed funds. The purchaser will assume all duties required under the Interlocal Agreement with Palm Beach County.

The agreed upon sale price for the Park-n-Ride lot is $834,000.00. Of that amount, FDOT will receive $207,888.00. The net proceeds due Wellington will therefore be $626,112.00.
