EXPLANATION: The Utility utilizes a remote telemetry system to control and acquire data from process equipment at remote locations throughout the Village to transmit this data to various plant control rooms. The existing system has exceeded its useful life and is in need of replacement. The telemetry backhaul system upgrade project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals for the replacement of the Village’s existing telemetry backhaul system including three (3) backhaul home base station radios, twenty-one (21) backhaul subscriber radios, and related components. This is the first phase of a two-phase project to replace the entire remote telemetry system.
On October 3, 2017, Wellington released ITB 017-17/DZ on Demandstar. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington’s website. On October 19, 2017, one (1) proposal was received.
