A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON AND THE WELLINGTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR PARTNERSHIP ON CERTAIN COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2018-11 and authorization to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Wellington Community Foundation to partner on certain youth and senior programming projects.

EXPLANATION: The Wellington Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit whose mission is to benefit Wellington residents with a focus on seniors and children. Through participation in community projects, fundraising initiatives and donations, the Corporation strives to improve quality of life.
The WCF has approached Wellington with a request to partner with the Village on certain community projects and activities that meet their mission and goals by providing a percentage of the budgeted amount for said projects. The percentage of funding provided by WCF will be determined on a project-by-project basis as agreed to by WCF and Wellington.
A Memorandum of Understanding is attached.
