EXPLANATION: The current dugouts at Village Park have steel columns with wooden siding and a wooden roof structure. The dugouts are showing signs of aging and this project will replace the existing dugouts with more durable metal structures. This purchase is part of a larger overall project that is scheduled to be completed at Village Park in June 2019.

The City of Palm Bay recently awarded a contract to Taylor Supply, LLC, for the purchase and delivery of pre-designed/pre-engineered dugouts. Staff is seeking authorization to utilize the contract, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of dugouts at Village Park. In order to ensure best pricing, staff researched and determined the City of Palm Bay contract was approximately thirty-five percent less than catalog pricing offered by other distributors.

Staff recommends utilizing the City of Palm Bay Contract #180612, as a basis for pricing, with Taylor Supply, LLC, for the purchase and delivery of dugouts for Village Park in the amount of $45,600.
