ITEM: RESOLUTION NO. R2018-32 (FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT EASEMENT AGREEMENT)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE EASEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY (FP&L) TO PROVIDE AN EASEMENT FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ONE OR MORE OVERHEAD AND UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION LINES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

EXPLANATION: Wellington received a request from the Florida Power and Light Company to provide a utility easement/right-of-way on Flying Cow Road south of Southern Boulevard/SR80 (aerial and property record attached). This parcel is owned by the Village of Wellington and therefore requires an easement (consent) agreement between FP&L and Wellington. Resolution No. R2018-32 authorizes the Manager or his designee to execute the Agreement (attached).
