A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA'S COUNCIL APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICES BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND THE WELLINGTON SENIORS CLUB, INC.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

REQUEST: Approval of the Annual Agreement between Wellington and the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. for FY 2018/2019.

EXPLANATION: Wellington has maintained an agreement with the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. (WSC) for the past fifteen (15) years, providing senior citizen services within Wellington. During this period, WSC's membership has grown to over 700 members. In exchange for providing both meeting space and funding assistance, the WSC provides monthly meetings, newsletters, social/recreational programming and special events for Wellington seniors.

Correspondence dated May 1, 2018 (copy attached) was received from Mr. Howard Trager, President of the WSC, requesting that Council consider their budget request for 2018/2019. This funding was approved by Council as part of the FY2019 budget.

The Agreement provides for:

* A one year term from October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019.
* Lump sum payment of $51,500.00 to the Wellington Seniors Club.
* Meeting space at the Wellington Community Center and/or such other facility as the Village is able to provide.
* Required quarterly financial reports to Wellington.
* Monthly programs including bridge, duplicate bridge, canasta, mahjongg, computer club and quilting.

Funds are to be utilized for:

* Monthly membership luncheon meetings - $27,308
* "Steppin Out" and "Out to Lunch Bunch" - $16,350
* Spring Fling - $2,400
* 26th Anniversary Gala - TBD
* Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon - $910
* Publication and Mailing of Club Newsletter (The Golden Banner) - $4,870
* Commercial General Liability Insurance (Allstate Property and Casualty, Travelers Insurance Company, CPA professional and legal fees) - $2,180
