ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE EXISTING CONTRACTS FOR VARIOUS 2019 PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize previously awarded and competitively bid Village contracts and Palm Beach County contracts, for 2019 Public Works projects with an approximate total of $3,035,000.

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department is seeking authorization to utilize previously awardee annual contracts for FY 2019 projects exceeding $25,000 in cost.
The projects include: 1) roadway milling and resurfacing, pathway resurfacing and sealcoating, and guardrail installation; 2) swale maintenance, drainage infrastructure, inspection, cleaning and repairs; and 3) sidewalk/pathway maintenance. Each of the awarded contracts, including terms, project descriptions and estimated costs, are summarized below:
1) Roadway milling and resurfacing, pathway resurfacing and sealcoating, and guardrail installation:
a. Annual Asphalt Milling, Resurfacing and Sealcoating - ITB 009-15/DZ Expires August 11, 2019
b. Roadway Striping and Pavement Marking Services - ITB 006-17/ENR Expires May 9, 2020
c. Guardrail Repair and Install Services - PBC Contract # 2017052 Expires March 13, 2019

Estimates are based on existing contract pricing. Although these contracts are not set to expire at this time, many of the individual projects exceed $25,000, and require prior Council approval.
Staff is seeking authorization to utilize the existing annual contracts summarized above for various 2019 Public Works projects that exceed $25,000. The total of all projects combined is approximately $3,035,000.
