EXPLANATION: The Greenbriar Dog Wash Project includes two side-by-side dog wash areas. The project consists of the installation of potable hose bibs, a concrete slab with a drain, septic system, drain field and associated fencing.
On August 26, 2018, Wellington released ITB 023-18/MM on Demandstar, seeking qualified firms to provide such services. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On September 19, 2018 two (2) proposals were received.

Staff is unable to determine why the spread is so high between the low and high bidder, as the bid form was established with a single lump sum amount. The engineer's opinion of probable cost is $76,000.00.
The low bidder (CJ Contracting, LLC) has provided excellent work on multiple CDBG rehabilitation projects for the Village. In addition, CJ Contracting is a Western Communities local vendor and has been in business over ten (10) years.
Staff recommends awarding a contract to CJ Contracting, LLC, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, for the Greenbriar Dog Park Dog Wash Improvements in the amount of $68,900.00.
