EXPLANATION: The Planning, Zoning and Building Department provides plan reviews for residential and commercial building applications and inspection services to include building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical HVAC for structures in which permits have been issued. In an effort to maintain excellent customer services and be responsive to the Village residents' needs, outside inspectors may be required on an as-needed basis.

On January 12, 2016, Council awarded RFP #015-15/ED to C.A.P. Government, Inc., as the primary awardee, and G.F.A. International and M.T. Causley, Inc., as secondary awardees, to provide such services. The initial term of the contract was for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms.

Staff requests authorization to exercise the first renewal option with C.A.P. Government, Inc. (Non-Local), as the primary awardee, and G.F.A. International (Palm Beach County Local Vendor), as the secondary awardee, through January 12, 2020, with no price increases.

As part of the renewal process, M.T. Causley, Inc. (secondary awardee) requested hourly rate increases, which were denied by staff.
