ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT WITH SULLIVAN ELECTRIC & PUMP, INC., FOR REPAIRS TO ALL TYPES OF PUMPS AND MOTORS

EXPLANATION: The Utility Department desires to supplement existing services currently provided by several vendors. This contract will be utilized by Field Services and Water and Wastewater Plant Maintenance Divisions for repairs to pumps and motors within the Water Utility Departments, on an as-needed basis.
On November 2, 2017, Palm Beach County awarded term contract #17080R effective through November 1, 2018, and subsequently renewed the contract for one (1) additional year through November 1, 2019. In order to ensure competitive pricing, staff compared the Palm Beach County contract pricing with a similar City of Palm Beach Gardens contract, and the Palm Beach County contract provided the best overall value to the Village.
Staff recommends utilizing Palm Beach County contract #17080R, as a basis for pricing, with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. for repairs to all types of pumps and motors in an amount not to exceed $150,000, for fiscal year 2019.
