EXPLANATION: In accordance with approved equipment replacement schedules, staff is requesting authorization to purchase FY 2019 budgeted vehicles and equipment. Purchases are for the vehicles and equipment specified below, from authorized dealers at the lowest possible cost. In order to ensure the best possible pricing, staff researched the following awarded contracts: Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA), State of Florida, Sourcewell (formerly National Joint Powers), and Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), and found the lowest price per vehicle/equipment as summarized below:
