EXPLANATION: Mike began his career with Wellington in May of 2012 as a part time Maintenance Worker, becoming full time in less than a year. In 2015 he was promoted to a Maintenance Technician II and again in 2017 to a Maintenance Technician III. Mike has been doing stellar work in our pesticide spray program. He is a great team player who also assists neighborhood parks with spray tasks, getting all tasks completed immediately upon request. In addition to his regular duties, he has made vast improvements in the chemical room organizing and working with his supervisor to migrate record keeping to an electronic format that logs additional information.
It is for these reasons and more that Mike Sands has been selected as October’s Employee of the Month!
