ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AMEND AN EXISTING CONTRACT TO ADD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICE AREAS
REQUEST: Authorization to amend an existing contract (#024-17/DZ), to add landscape maintenance services on secondary roadways, with Wellington Professional Lawn Care, in the amount of $61,920 annually.

EXPLANATION: On March 13, 2018, the Village Council awarded a contract to Wellington Professional Lawn Care to provide landscape maintenance services to all secondary roadways Village-wide, effective through April 2, 2021, in the amount of $125,280 annually.
Due to recent landscape additions throughout the Village (Gracida Street and Stribling/K-Park berm), staff recommends amending the contract with Wellington Professional Lawn Care, to include both areas, at a cost of $61,920 annually.
Pursuant to the Village's Purchasing Manual, any amendment to an existing contract in excess of twenty percent (20%) of the original contract amount requires prior Council approval.
Wellington Professional Lawn Care is a Western Communities local vendor and continues to provide superior landscape maintenance service to all roadways, canals and equestrian trails Village-wide. Staff recommends amending the existing contract to add landscape maintenance services on secondary roads (Gracida Street and Stribling/K-Park), with Wellington Professional Lawn Care, in the amount of $61,920 annually. The amendment will be valid through the term of the existing agreement (April 2, 2021).
