ITEM: RESOLUTION NO. R2019-02 (ROCREATION CORP EASEMENT AGREEMENT)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE EASEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND ROCREATION CORP TO PROVIDE A UTILITY EASEMENT AND A PUBLIC EQUESTRIAN BRIDLE TRAIL EASEMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

EXPLANATION: A bridle trail currently exists on the south side of Pierson Road near the intersection with South Shore Boulevard. Although the public uses and has access to this trail, part of the trail lies within Rocreation Corp’s property at 3425 Santa Barbara Drive. The attached easement agreement would provide a utility easement and a public bridle trail easement where the path currently exists. These easements would grant Wellington the authority to operate and maintain utilities, and create and maintain a public bridle trail within the easement area. Resolution No. R2019-02 authorizes the Mayor to execute the agreement (attached).
