EXPLANATION: Jenifer began her career with the Village of Wellington on March 19, 2018. Since that date, Jenifer has been an integral part of the Community Services Department and was instrumental in the opening of the Community Center’s new Senior Lounge.
On October 15, 2018, Jenifer made what turned out to be a lifesaving decision. On that day she asked Corporal Ciuperger to accompany her along with Programs Coordinator, Kyle Ostroff on a welfare check for an elderly female resident, Lorna Schwartz. Upon arrival at Ms. Schwartz’s home, Jenifer, Kyle and Corporal Ciuperger found the elderly woman lying face down only a few feet from her front door. They discovered that Ms. Schwartz had been lying there for at least 24 hours prior to their arrival. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue were called and transported Ms. Schwartz to the Emergency Room at Wellington Regional Hospital for treatment. Ms. Schwartz was treated and later released.
It is for these reasons and more that Jenifer Brito is the November, 2018 Employee of the Month!
