EXPLANATION: On August 8, 2017, Council awarded an engineering services contract (004-17/DZ) to multiple vendors. As part of the solicitation, Engenuity Group, Inc. was selected as one of the Village's consulting engineering service providers. Staff is seeking authorization to utilize such contract with Engenuity Group, Inc., to provide engineering consulting services to complete a topographic survey of Big Blue Trace right-of-way from South Shore Boulevard to Wellington Trace for the future design of the multi-use pathway located on the easterly side of the roadway. The Big Blue Trace Multi-use Trail project design will be completed in-house by the Village Engineering Department.
The survey will be from the west edge of pavement of Big Blue Trace to the east right-of-way line of Big Blue Trace with cross sections taken every 100 feet over the approximately 7,900 linear feet that the project encompasses.
Staff recommends awarding a task order to provide engineering consulting services for the topographic survey of Big Blue Trace from South Shore Boulevard to Wellington Trace in the amount of $34,190.00.
