REQUEST: Discussion of the 2019 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Grant program application in the amount of $200,000 for Town Center Park improvements.

EXPLANATION: The Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant provides funds for development of eligible facilities such as waterfront access, playgrounds, sports related fields, etc. The maximum grant amount is $200,000 with a 100% match requirement. Staff is preparing an application for funding for the proposed Town Center Park improvements.
A requirement of the grant includes placing the application on a Committee agenda. Placement of this application on the Public Safety Committee agenda satisfies this grant requirement.
There is no action required by the Committee.
