EXPLANATION: The Parks and Recreation Department utilizes bus rental and driver services for summer day camp and special event programs.
On March 22, 2016, Council awarded RFP #022-15/ENR to Bus One, LLC, a Palm Beach County local vendor. Staff is requesting authorization to exercise the final renewal option through June 20, 2020, with no price increases. Bus One, LLC has provided excellent service during the term of the contract.
In order to ensure the best price, staff researched a recently solicited Palm Beach County School District contract and found the Village’s contract price is competitive.
Prior year expenditures were approximately $46,000.00.
Staff recommends renewing an existing contract with Bus One, LLC., to provide bus rental and driver services, for one additional year, effective through June 2020, with no price increases.
