EXPLANATION: In order to support the new Tyler Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, the IT Department is seeking authorization to purchase additional SQL licenses from Microsoft. This purchase will allow the Village to add more capacity to our virtualized environment by adding an additional blade server to the Village VMWARE.
These additional licenses will be included as part of the Microsoft software, licenses and maintenance three (3) year agreement, with CDW-G, previously approved by Council on March 13, 2018. The cost of the additional licenses is $46,463.46.
Staff recommends awarding a contract to CDW-G for additional Microsoft licenses at a cost of $46,463.46.
