ITEM:                     AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION (FSA) CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF TIRES AND RELATED SERVICES

 

REQUEST:                     Authorization to utilize the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) contract, as a basis for pricing for the purchase and delivery of tires and related services, in the amount of approximately $68,000.00 annually.

EXPLANATION:                     The Public Works Department utilizes an FSA contract, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of tires and related services.  

 

FSA released contract #19-TRS21.0 seeking qualified manufacturers to provide pricing on tires and related services.  FSA awarded contracts to multiple manufacturers effective through February 28, 2022.

 

Staff is requesting authorization to utilize three (3) Palm Beach County vendors (Martino Tire, Callaghan Tire and Elpex Tire), utilizing the FSA contract, for the purchase of tires and related services, in the amount of approximately $68,000.00 annually.

 

In order to ensure the best possible price, staff will solicit quotes from three (3) local vendors, utilizing the FSA manufacturer’s pricing as a basis for award.
