ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW AN EXISTING CONTRACT FOR ANNUAL LAB ANALYSES SERVICES
REQUEST: Authorization to renew an existing contract with multiple vendors for annual lab analyses services, in the amount of $155,000 ($60,000 for Public Works and $95,000 for Utilities) for FY 2019-2020.

EXPLANATION: On September 27, 2016, Council awarded ITB #020-16/DZ to multiple vendors to provide specialized lab analyses for the Village’s Wastewater Treatment/Reclamation Plant, Water Treatment Plant, and Surface Water Management program. The services provided as part of this contract are required as part of the Village’s compliance with the Florida Department of Health, Department of Environmental Protection, and South Florida Water Management District regulations. The services provided, include analysis beyond the capabilities of our internal laboratory.
Staff is seeking authorization to exercise the first renewal option, with no price increases, through September 26, 2020 with the primary and secondary vendors as follows:
