ITEM: RESOLUTION NO. R2019-45 (CAPITAL PROJECT AMENDMENT)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL AMENDING THE SALES SURTAX FUND CAPITAL PROJECT BUDGETS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019 BY TRANSFERRING REMAINING BUDGET FROM THE GREENBRIAR PARK PROJECT TO THE WELLINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL SPORT COMPLEX PROJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2019-45 to transfer the remaining budget for the Greenbriar Park Improvement project to the WCHS Sport Complex project in order to begin project design and construction.

EXPLANATION: On July 24, 2019, the Palm Beach County School Board approved an Interlocal Agreement with the Village of Wellington for funding, planning, designing, constructing and maintaining the Wellington Community High School Sport Complex on School District property.
Over $7.9 million in Sales Surtax funding was allocated to the Greenbriar Park improvements, which will be deferred to complete the WCHS Sport Complex. These funds are sufficient to complete the initial phases of the Sport Complex design and construction. Approval of Capital Project Amendment Resolution No. R2019-45 will reallocate funds from the Greenbriar Park project to WCHS Sport Complex budget within the Sales Surtax Fund.
