EXPLANATION:                     Staff is seeking authorization to:

 

1)                     Award a contract to Lanzo Trenchless Technologies, Inc. South, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for the Neighborhood Utility Reinvestment (Project 1), in the amount of $1,823,105. This project includes the cleaning and lining of roughly 4.2 miles of sanitary sewer pipe in various areas. Other miscellaneous sewer repairs in the project include, but are not limited to, lateral repairs, sewer wye replacement, adjustment or rim elevations, mechanical tuberculation removal, and lateral lining. The Contractor’s responsibilities will include all site restoration associated with the repair work as well as specific public outreach and public coordination efforts.

 

On May 5, 2019, the Village released ITB #201915 on Demandstar, seeking qualified firms to provide construction services. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington’s website. On October 3, 2019, the Village received six (6) bids as summarized below:

2)                     Award a task order to Keshavarz & Associates; utilizing previously Council approved engineering services contract (RFQ#011-15/ED), to provide construction phase engineering services for the project in the amount of $61,000.
