EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department is seeking authorization to utilize Davco Electrical Contractor Corp. for the purchase and installation of Manual Transfer Switches for irrigation at Village Park, the aquatic facility and the tennis center.
During a power outage, a manual transfer switch will easily and safely allow connectivity between the “line” power source and “backup power”.
Palm Beach County School District contract #17C-1T was recently renewed effective through July 2, 2020.
Staff recommends utilizing the Palm Beach County School District contract #17C-1T, as a basis for pricing, with Davco Electrical Contractor Corp., a Palm Beach County local vendor, for the installation of Manual Transfer Switches at various locations Village-wide, at a cost of $51,128.00.
