ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (GSA) CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF TWO DATTO BACKUP STORAGE SERVERS AND DATTO INFINITE CLOUD RETENTION SERVICES
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize GSA contract #GS-35F-032GA, with Consolidated Computing Inc., as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of two (2) Datto S4-E36 storage servers in the amount of $23,119.20, and Datto Infinite Cloud Retention services at a cost of $194,594.40 ($5,405.40 per month for the 36-month term).

EXPLANATION: The Information Technology Department is seeking authorization to utilize a GSA contract with Consolidated Computing, Inc., as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of two (2) Datto S4-E36 storage servers, and for Infinite Cloud Retention services. The GSA contract is effective through October 18, 2021.
The current backup infrastructure requires additional space to keep pace with current data usage and still utilizes tape backups. The new Datto servers will increase the capacity of the existing servers, allow data backups to be streamed to cloud based storage and adds a level of disaster recovery, with the ability to spin up backups in the Cloud.
In order to ensure competitive pricing, staff obtained two (2) additional quotes from Trust Technology Solutions and ITPartners+ respectively, and Consolidated Computing Inc. provides the best value to the Village for both the hardware and cloud retention services as summarized below:

Staff recommends utilizing Consolidated Computing Inc. for the purchase and delivery of two (2) Datto S4-E36 storage servers and Datto Infinite Cloud Retention services, in the amount of $217,713.60.
