EXPLANATION: In accordance with approved equipment schedules, staff is requesting authorization to purchase FY 2020 budgeted vehicles and equipment. Purchases are for the vehicles and equipment specified below, from authorized dealers at the lowest possible cost. In order to ensure the best possible pricing, staff obtained multiple competitive quotes from Florida Sheriffs Association contracts, Sourcewell contracts (formally National Joint Powers Alliance) and State of Florida term contracts. The lowest price per vehicle and equipment are summarized below:

All replacement vehicles / equipment are in accordance with the Village’s FY 2020 replacement schedules. In addition, staff is seeking authorization to dispose of existing surplus equipment (summary attached as Exhibit A), which will be replaced by the purchase of equipment listed above. All surplus equipment will be sold on GovDeals.com, the Village’s contracted public auction website.
Local dealers are unable to match contract pricing from the various sources.
