ITEM: SELECTION OF “TEXTING YOUR LIFE AWAY” ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS

EXPLANATION: Submittals were received from Wellington High School and Palm Beach Central High School students in response to the Public Safety Committee’s “Texting Your Life Away” essay contest. A combined total of 45 submissions were received from both schools. On December 17, 2019, blind copies of all essays were provided to the Public Safety Committee who were then tasked with evaluating and scoring all submissions based on the provided grading rubric. Two winners will be selected and will win a $50 gift card donated by our sponsor, Jet Hauling.
