ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO CONTINUE UTILIZING A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT WITH SULLIVAN ELECTRIC & PUMP, INC., FOR REPAIRS TO VARIOUS PUMPS AND MOTORS
REQUEST: Authorization to continue utilizing a Palm Beach County contract with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc., as a basis for pricing, for pump and motor repair and/or replacement at sanitary lift stations, the water plant, the water reclamation facility, raw water supply wells and remote booster stations in an amount not to exceed $75,000.

EXPLANATION: The Utility Department utilizes a Palm Beach County contract for repairs and/or replacement of various types of pumps and motors on an as-needed basis. There are approximately 350 motors of various sizes and types that are maintained by the Utility. These pumps and motors are critical to Utility's continuity of service.
Palm Beach County awarded contract #17080RB to Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. for irrigation pump stations and repair services. Palm Beach County recently exercised the second renewal option effective through November 1, 2020 with no price increases.
In order to ensure the best price, staff compared pricing with a similar City of Palm Beach Gardens contract and found the Palm Beach County contract provides the best overall value to the Village.
Staff requests authorization to continue utilizing the Palm Beach County contract #17080RB, as a basis for pricing, with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $75,000, for fiscal year 2020.
Prior year expenditures are $45,200.
