REQUEST:                     Authorization to renew an existing contract with multiple vendors for the purchase of mulch, pine straw, and ground preparation, Village-wide, in the amount of $119,500 for Fiscal Year 2020.

EXPLANATION:                     On June 12, 2018, Council awarded ITB #016-18/ER, Annual Contract for Mulch, Pine Straw and Ground Preparation, to multiple vendors to provide various mulch materials needed to maintain facilities throughout the Village.

 

Staff is seeking authorization to exercise the first renewal option, with no price increases, through June 11, 2021 with East Coast Mulch Corporation and Amerigrow Recycling Delray, L.P., both Palm Beach County vendors, for the purchase of mulch, pine straw, and ground preparation Village-wide, in the amount of approximately $119,500 annually.

 

The secondary vendor will be utilized only in the event the primary vendor cannot provide the required materials.
