EXPLANATION: The Parks and Recreation Department utilizes bus rental and driver services for summer day camp and special event programs.
On February 13, 2020, Wellington released Bid #202014 for bus rental and driver services. On March 11, 2020, the Village received three (3) proposals meeting the required specifications as summarized below:

The initial term of the contract is for two (2) years with a provision for two (2) additional one (1) year renewals.
Staff recommends awarding a contract to Academy Bus, LLC as a primary vendor and Bus One, LLC as a secondary vendor.
The secondary vendor will be utilized only in the event the primary vendor is not available to provide the required services.
The previous contracted hourly rate was $95.00 per hour (Bus One, LLC). If awarded, the new contract with Academy Bus, LLC. ($90/Hr.) will save the Village approximately $2,500 annually.
