EXPLANATION: In accordance with approved equipment replacement schedules, staff is requesting authorization to purchase FY2020 budgeted equipment. Purchase is for the equipment specified below, from the authorized dealer and at the lowest possible cost. The HGAC Buy provides a venue for all vendors to propose prices for the sale of their equipment. Award is made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
This equipment is a portable trailer mounted vacuum system that is used by the Utility to clean, clear and evacuate underground facilities. Procurement of this equipment facilitates timely repair of critical infrastructure.
