EXPLANATION: Wellington uses a deep injection well at its water treatment facility for disposal of the waste stream generated by the low pressure, reverse osmosis process. The deep injection well is permitted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Pursuant to the FDEP permit, mechanical integrity testing (MIT) of the deep injection well must be conducted every five (5) years to ensure the well is functioning properly

On May 7, 2020, Wellington released ITB #202027 on Demandstar, seeking qualified firms to provide such services. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On June 3, 2020, three (3) proposals were received, as summarized below:
