EXPLANATION: Staff is seeking authorization to award a contract to Coker Consulting, Inc. to provide lobbying services, for one year, effective October 1, 2020, with two additional one- year renewal options. The amount of the contract will remain at $75,000 annually. Coker Consulting, Inc. will continue utilizing Screven Watson and Associates, LLC, as the subconsultant under this agreement. These services have been provided by Coker Consulting, Inc. since 2015.
Pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Village’s Purchasing Manual, such services are exempt from competition; however, since expenditures exceed $25,000 annually, Council approval is required.
Staff recommends awarding a contract to Coker Consulting, Inc. to provide lobbying services to the Village for one year, effective through October 1, 2021, in the amount of $75,000.
