ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A CLAY COUNTY CONTRACT FOR THE BLOCK ISLAND PARK PAVILION REPLACEMENT PROJECT
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize a Clay County contract with REP Services, Inc., as a basis for pricing, for the Block Island Park Pavilion Replacement Project in the amount of $41,942.60.

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department will be providing the demolition of the existing pavilion, concrete slab removal, and the hauling of the deteriorated equipment and debris from the site to keep the replacement costs down. Staff will also be preparing the site and installing the base material to grade for the foundation for the new pavilion.
On May 28, 2019, Clay County awarded a contract for RFP No. 18/19-2 to multiple companies to provide various equipment and amenities for parks and playgrounds through May 27, 2022. The RFP provides a percentage discount off manufacturer retail prices.
In order to ensure the Clay County contract provides the best price, staff reviewed a similar Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners contract and the Clay County contract was lower.
Staff recommends utilizing a Clay County contract #18/19-2, as basis for pricing, with REP Services, Inc. for the Block Island Park Pavilion Replacement Project in the amount of $41,942.60.
