ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO CONTINUE UTILIZING A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT WITH SULLIVAN ELECTRIC & PUMP, INC., FOR REPAIRS TO VARIOUS PUMPS AND MOTORS
REQUEST: Authorization to continue utilizing a Palm Beach County contract with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc., as a basis for pricing, for pump and motor repairs at sanitary lift stations, the water plant, the water reclamation facility, raw water supply wells and remote booster stations in an amount not to exceed $75,000.

EXPLANATION: The Utility Department utilizes a Palm Beach County contract for repairs of various types of pumps and motors on an as needed basis. There are approximately 350 motors of various sizes and types that are maintained by the Utility. These pumps and motors are critical to Utility's continuity of service.
Palm Beach County awarded contract #17080 RC to Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. for irrigation pump stations and repair services. Palm Beach County recently exercised the third renewal option effective through November 1, 2021 with no price increases.
In order to ensure the best price, staff compared pricing with a Town of Jupiter contract and found pricing to be competitive. The Palm Beach County contract also provides the best value and interest to the Village.
Staff is requesting authorization to continue utilizing the Palm Beach contract #17080 RC, as a basis for pricing with Sullivan Electric & Pump, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $75,000 for fiscal year 2021.
Prior year expenditures were approximately $60,000.
