EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department is seeking authorization to utilize a previously awarded annual contract for a FY 2021 project exceeding $25,000 in cost.
Public Works proposes installing corrugated aluminum pipes at the intersection of Canals C2 and C24B (there is no current piping at this location). This will improve the drainage in Basin B between the C-2 canal, South Road and 50th street to the South. In addition, this project includes sod grading and pathway restoring at this location.
Staff request authorization to utilize a previously awarded Village contract with D.S. Eakins, ITB #007-15/DZ (Expires 1/14/21) for a FY 2021 canal improvement project estimated at $66,240.00.
Although this contract has not expired at this time, projects exceeding $25,000 require prior Council approval.
