ITEM: RATIFICATION OF CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING INSPECTION EXPENDITURES FOR THE AERO CLUB DRIVE PATHWAY PROJECT
REQUEST: Ratification of the construction engineering inspection (CEI) expenditures for the Aero Club Drive Pathway project, with Mock Roos & Associates, Inc., in the amount of $9,865.00.

EXPLANATION: On August 3, 2020, the Engineering department issued a purchase order, to Mock Roos and Associates, Inc., in the amount of $22,000 to include CEI services for the Aero Club Pathway project. Due to unexpected delays in the project, additional CEI services, in the amount of $9,865.00, were required. In order to ensure no further delays, the additional services were approved.
Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, since the total cost of CEI services now exceeds $25,000, Council approval is required. Due to the delays in the project, liquidated damages with the contractor are currently being pursued.
Staff is seeking ratification of additional CEI services for the Aero Club Drive Pathway project, with Mock Roos & Associates, Inc., in the amount of $9,865.00.
