ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW EXISTING CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR PARKS AND SECONDARY ROADWAYS

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department utilizes contracts to provide landscape maintenance services for parks Village-wide and to provide landscape maintenance services for secondary roadways.
On March 13, 2018, Council awarded Bid #024-17/DZ to Mainguy Landscape Services to provide landscape maintenance services for parks Village-wide and Wellington Professional Lawn Care to maintain secondary roads. The existing contracts are set to expire on April 2, 2021 and provides for two (2) additional one (1) year renewal options.
Staff requests authorization to renew existing contracts through April 2, 2022 with Mainguy Landscape Services, a non-local vendor, and Wellington Professional Lawn Care, a Western Community local vendor, to provide landscape maintenance services, with no change in price.
Prior year expenditures for these contracts are $210,690.00 for Mainguy Landscape Services and $192,600 for Wellington Professional Lawn Care.
