ITEM: RATIFICATION OF RESOLUTION NO. R2020-66A (DIVERSITY CONSULTING SERVICES BUDGET AMENDMENT)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO FUND THE REMAINING AMOUNT OF THE DIVERSITY CONSULTING SERVICES CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Ratification of Resolution No. R2020-66A for Diversity Consulting Services with K. Michael Slater in an amount not to exceed $65,000.

EXPLANATION: At the January 26, 2021 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Workshop Meeting, Council approved the contract for services with K. Michael Slater in an amount not to exceed $75,000. Of this, $10,000 was approved at their December 8, 2020 Council meeting with Resolution No. R2020-66. The attached Resolution No. R2020-66A amends the General Fund budget for the remaining not to exceed amount of $65,000.

FISCAL IMPACT: The General Fund Budget is amended an additional $65,000 as funding for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging contract with K. Michael Slater. This brings the total not to exceed funding, including the previously approved Resolution No. R2020-66 for $10,000, to $75,000.
