EXPLANATION:                     Each year the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) sponsors the “Drop Savers” Water Conservation Poster Contest where students from kindergarten to 12th grade are encouraged to create a poster depicting a water conservation theme. The contest allows students to promote water awareness and the importance of water conservation in their daily routines.

In support of April being National Water Conservation Month, the Village of Wellington Utility Department created a local Drop Savers contest.   Students from Wellington elementary, middle schools, and high schools were invited to participate in the contest. This year is the fourth year of the local contest. This year a total of 182 posters were received. After a panel of judges rated the posters based on message, creativity, and originality.
